Joanne C. Garner, 82, of Dubuque passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road.

Joanne was born March 25, 1941 in Rochester, New Hampshire, daughter of Carlyle and Lilian (Faulkingham) Roberts.

She graduated from Aurora College.

On September 9, 1967, she married Gaylen Garner in Worcester, Massachusetts.  He preceded her in death on July 1, 2022.

Joanne loved the Lord.  She was a devoted wife who liked to entertain.  She was involved in many bible studies, the Christian Women’s Club, Women’s Missionary Fellowship, and sang in a trio for many years.

She is survived by three siblings, Carlyle (Nathalie) Roberts, Rebecca (Dana) Weedan, and Robin (Dana) Van Amburg, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Tidball, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Tidball.

Memorials may be given to Hope Church or Bethany Home.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bethany Home, especially those in the memory care unit, for their wonderful care.
