John D. Weber, Jr.
John D. “Bronco” Weber, Jr., age 60, of Dubuque, IA, completed his earthly journey on October 3, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family. To honor John’s life, a private family service is being held. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving John’s family.
John was born on October 7, 1960, in Dubuque, IA, a son to John Donald “Jack” and Germaine Eugenia (Oberbroeckling) Weber, Sr. John grew up with a zest for life and never missed the opportunity to see the best in each day. He spent a few of his younger years working at the Dubuque Pack, but after they closed, he eventually moved his time and talents into the family business, Jack’s Trucking and Moving. John finally found himself operating within the owner’s position in the 90’s and never looked back as his hard work was paying off. But, John knew that there was more to life than simply working too much. His presence at Lacoma Golf Course was a weekly occurrence and more of life’s issues were surely resolved there than they would ever be in the office. He also spent many relaxing hours being surrounded by his friends at the Moose Lodge. If John could find himself in a room with good friends, a cold beer, and hopefully a few Dallas Cowboy’s fan to boot, he would have to admit that he had found the perfect end to that day. He also enjoyed watching a little WWE Wrestling whenever possible, continually claiming that it was “the only sport on the up and up” to anyone that would listen. John also had an immeasurable soft-spot for his family and loved ones. If you were on John’s loved and adored list, you could be sure that he would regularly remind you that it was so. His grandchildren brought him the greatest joy, and his granddaughter, Breelyn, had a most special bond that not even his passing will be able to break. We will miss John, his love for life, his fun-loving spirit, and his desire to make the world a better place by simply being a better person within it. Thank you, John, for reminding us to live as we work, love as we grow, and to never surrender when the battle rages on. We will treasure every memory which you leave behind and may the Lord keep you safe in His loving arms until we meet again.
