Kristine M. Menster, 59, of Dubuque, Iowa and formerly of Cascade, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at MercyOne Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Private graveside services for Kristine will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Cascade Community Cemetery with Deacon Dan Kurt presiding.

She was born April 6, 1966, in Monticello, Iowa, daughter of John “Jack” and Maxine (Poppe) Menster.  She received her education in the  Western Dubuque Schools.   She was employed at Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta, Iowa.

Kristine had a big heart and a smile for everyone she met.  She was the kindest soul to all, her family, her friends, and her nieces and nephews, they meant the world to her, especially her godson, Jake Gloden, and Jane and Baldy’s grandchildren, Mia and Ian.  Kristine enjoyed baking and sharing her treats.  She was also an avid reader.

Kristine will truly be missed by many, as losing such a kind, gentle and giving individual will leave a void in our lives that could never be replaced.

She was a member of Hope Church in Dubuque, Iowa.

She is survived by one brother Mike (Kim) Menster of Cascade, IA; two sisters, Laurel (Mike) Davis of Las Vegas, NV and Jane and Baldy Menster-McDermott of Bernard, IA; and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Steve Menster.
