Visitation for Lusy will be from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Dubuque at a later date.

Lyudmila was born June 15, 1946, in Russia, the daughter of Vasiliy and Alla Vaganova Kosmiliov. She married Michael Norbert Kirsch in Dubuque.

Lusy was the owner and operator of a homecare business. Before moving to the US, Lusy worked as a school teacher and insurance adjuster in Russia.

She had a deep love for gardening, finding joy in the peaceful atmosphere it provided and the satisfaction of nurturing her plants.

Survivors include her husband, Mike; two brothers in Russia; one step-son, Steven (Cris) Kirsch of MO; one step-daughter, Kathy (Stephen) Skemp of Dubuque; and three step-grandchildren, T.J. Kirsch, Natalie and Roark Skemp.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
