Ginny graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy.

She married John Paul “Honus” Schiel on November 22, 1951, at Nativity Catholic Church in Dubuque.  He preceded her in death on September 28, 1991.

Ginny was a homemaker as she and Honus were raising their 7 children.  When the kids were older, she began a 29 year career working at Eagle Foods and another 19 years at the Diamond Jo Casino, retiring when she was a “young” 82 years old.  Ginny truly enjoyed working, playing Keno, traveling with friends and taking yearly trips.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  Ginny was proud of her tidy home and enjoyed spending time with her family who were all very important to her.
