Mary Regina “Jeannie” Johnson, 93, of Dubuque, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Hawkeye Care Center.

A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, where visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Rev. Brian Dellaert will officiate. Interment  will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Fillmore, IA.

Jeannie was born March 29, 1931 in Fillmore, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar C. and Catherine V. (Coohey) Johnson. She was resident of the Cascade and Dubuque area for many years. Jeannie was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.

Jeannie enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, puzzles, and poetry. She had a sweet tooth, and liked to watch old westerns. Jeannie also enjoyed playing bingo every week.

Jeannie is survived by her brother, Ron (Louise) Johnson, of Dubuque; her brother-in-law, Ken Connolly; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert “Bill” Johnson; and two sisters, Betty (Gene) Evarts, and Judy Connolly.
