Patricia A. Johnson, 89, of Dubuque died Sunday January 21, 2024, at Luther Manor in Dubuque.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Leonard Funeral Home 2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque IA 52003 where a funeral service will be held at 11:30 with Sr. Margaret Ann Kramer officiating.  The burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Pat was born October 27, 1937, in Dubuque to Harold and Anna (Hooks) Roche. She graduated from Wrentham High School in Wrentham MA. While traveling back to Dubuque to spend time with family she met Joseph Johnson. They married November 3rd, 1956, at St. Mary’s Dubuque.

Patricia started her career working at the candy counter at Roshek’s and ended it as a clerk at Randall’s Grocery. During retirement she volunteered at St. Anothony’s School in the classrooms. Pat was all about her daughters, their families, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to read mystery novels and doing crafts. She loved animals and was always taking in dogs and cats and making them her fur babies.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Kathy (Mark) Sand of Sherrill, Susan (Larry) Bonert of Dubuque, and Lisa (Steve) Ehrlich of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Jeffery (Tisha) Sand, Jessica (Bill) Hanson, Aaron (Megan) Bonert, Andrew (Kelsey) Ehrlich; great-grandchildren Jakob Sand, Abigail Sand, Emma Hanson, Benjamin Hanson; and a sister Susan.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Joseph; her parents and parents-in-law; sisters Mary Jane and Jeanie; and siblings-in-law Joyce and John Specht.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
