Patricia was born on July 22, 1940, in Chadwick, IL, and was one of five siblings. She was raised and spent her early life in nearby Savanna, IL, before settling in Dubuque, IA. From a young age, she was known for her warmth and generosity, qualities that continued to define her throughout her life.
She was a devoted mother to her son, Randy Wuehle, and his cherished wife, Debbie, and to her daughter, Donna Andresen, and her beloved husband, David. With equal warmth, she embraced her only grandchild, Candice Wuehle, as well as the step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren who enriched their family. Her kindness, open heart, and ready spirit of giving touched not only her family but all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Patricia was deeply faithful to the Catholic Church and drew strength and comfort from her community of faith. She also found joy in simple, constant loves: the poodles she kept throughout her life, who brought her companionship and delight, Packer’s football, and music, which was always close to her heart. She loved nothing more than singing with the kids, as Donna played the piano. The last album she listened to was Stardust by Willie Nelson.
Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Wuehle, her husband, David Rollins, her brother John, and her sisters Mary Alice, Lynn, and baby Donna. Her family finds comfort in knowing she was held close by those she loved most in her final moments. She will be remembered always for her generosity, her devotion, and the joy she brought to those around her.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers at Anamosa Care Center and Above and Beyond Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness during Patricia’s time there.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be accepted in loving memory of Patricia.
