Paul L. Stabenow
Paul L. Stabenow, of Dubuque, died on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Luther Manor, Dubuque, Iowa.
Per Paul’s wishes there will be no formal services.
Paul was born December 15, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George and LaVerne (Wegner) Stabenow. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1970. In 1971, he attended Northeast Area One Vocational-Tech School studying welding and blueprint reading.
Paul then worked for Dubuque John Deere as a welder and painter retiring after thirty years.
Paul was involved in the Mighty Mississippi Mopar Car Club, serving as treasurer for several years. He belonged to Chicagoland Mopar Club. He enjoyed working on cars, showing cars, and won many trophies from his cars.
Paul enjoyed traveling. He took several trips to countries in Europe and Africa. He also traveled to Peru, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Survivors include brother, Robert (Marilynn) Stabenow, one sister and her husband, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
