Rebecca Ann (Sanders) James, 50, of Preston, Iowa, passed away on March 15, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m., with Deacon John Stierman officiating.

Rebecca was born on January 19, 1976, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of William and Nancy Jo (Kohnen) Sanders. She graduated from NIACC with a degree in accounting. On July 21, 2007, she was united in marriage to Joseph Tully; they later separated. Rebecca worked at Clausen Companies in Clinton, Iowa, and AIH in Dubuque. She was also a member of the Smiley Horseshoe League.

Becky was a fun-loving, adventurous spirit who delighted in road trips, lazy beach days, and browsing thrift stores. She was truly a joy to be around. Like her mother, she had a special gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved, whether through a simple glance, a heartfelt compliment, or her infectious laugh. She had a way of bringing a smile to everyone she met.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Luke (Lindzy Swift) Sanders and triplets Kaitlyn, Kathryn, and Joseph Tully; her grandchildren, Abigail and River Sanders; her father, William Sanders; and her siblings, Jason (Jocelyn) Sanders, Jesse Sanders, Billie (Dan) Arrington, Emily (Jayson) Freiburger, Maggie (Josh Perry) Tischhauser, Curt (Leona Haraway) Sanders, and Ronald Sanders. She is further survived by her nieces and nephews: Andrew, Henry, Jacob, Alex, Madyson, Katalina, Jack, Karly, Ella, Mariah, Jameson, MaKenna, Alina, and Declan; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her brother-in-law, Tobey Tischhauser; and her niece, Marley Tischhauser.
