Richard T. Hess, 84, died at home in Galena, IL on April 22, 2023. He was an artist who loved working in clay. He was the king of his 80th senior prom, a person who found joy in life, and someone who never lost his appreciation for a hot shower.

He felt profound gratitude for Hospice of Dubuque and to Jessica and Amy D. who respected and guided his final journey. The willingness of friends and family to express their love to him was the ultimate gift.

There will be no formal memorial, but please honor Richard by embracing your own life and living peacefully in the now.
