Robert Mosby Jr.

Robert Mosby Jr., 62, of Dubuque, passed away June 26th, 2024, surrounded by family, at home. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:15a.m., Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at the Church of the Nazarene, 1195 Prysi Street, Dubuque, IA. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 10:30a.m. with Pastor Leah Barker officiating.

Robert was born on December 28, 1961 to Robert and Joan (Morin) Mosby in Oak Park, IL. As a child, he played baseball and enjoyed bowling. In his teenage years, he sported long auburn hair and bell bottoms. It was during this time he met Sheryl (Sweeney) Mosby in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. They were united in marriage on December 28th, 1987 at his parents’ home in Dubuque, IA.

Robert was employed at Anderson Window and Door for thirty years. He also drove semi-trucks part-time for Logistics Park out of East Dubuque, IL. Recreationally, he and Sheryl often traveled on long road trips to their heart’s content.

Robert lovingly spent his free time with his children and grandchildren. He could often be found working on his computer or watching the latest episode of his favorite show, Diet Pepsi in hand. In recent years, he took an interest in short-wave radios.

Robert proudly served his country as an Air Force veteran and was an active member of Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; children, Benjamin Ryan (fiancée Jenna Neleson) Mosby of Deforest, WI, and Amanda Elizabeth Mosby of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Russell and Wesley Mosby, and their mother, Ann Bellings. He is also survived by his sisters, Karen (Michael) Cintron and Noreen (Bill) Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Wrennie Brucato and Robin Pugel.
