Roberta “Bobbi” E. Delaney-Kinny, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on August 30, 2026, at Stonehill Health Center

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Dianne Grace officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Bobbi was born on September 13, 1949, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the daughter of Francis J. ”Bud” and Pearl M. “”Lady” (Gaherty) Delaney. She graduated from Guttenberg High School. She married James (Richard Kinny, they later divorced. She later met Herb Rech, her partner of more than 20 years.

She started working at CyCare Computer Services but spent most of her career working for the City of Dubuque Housing Department. She later worked at Swiss Colonies.

Bobbi loved her family, her friends and was VERY proud of her Irish heritage. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She lit up the room figuratively and literally, as she loved anything that lit up. She loved playing nickels with her cousin’s group.

Bobbi is survived by her son, Creighton (Heather) Kinny; siblings, Joan Riniker, Dennis (Gina) Delaney; nieces and nephews, Robert (Traci) -Riniker, Ronald (Marj) Riniker, Collin (Rita) Riniker, Meggan McDermott-Schulz, Kim Delaney-Clark, Sean Delaney

She was preceded in death by her son Bryce; her parents; her brother Mike; her sister Jackie Delaney; her partner Herb Rech; brother-in-law Al Riniker; nephew Kevin Riniker; cousins, Carol, Suzie, Lynn, Roseann; her dog, Meicha.

Bobbi’s family extends its heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at Tri-State Dialysis, along with the nurses at UnityPoint Finley Hospital and MercyOne Dubuque for all the exceptional care they provided.
