Roger Cox
Roger Cox, 65, of Dubuque, passed away March 5, 2024 at home.
In keeping with his wishes, private family services will be held. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque.
Roger was born on February 15, 1959, to Roger and Margaret (Shireman) Cox in Dubuque, Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Brenda (Reichenberg) Cox on November 9, 2002.
Roger attended Wahlert Catholic High School prior to entering the United States Army. He proudly served our country from 1976-1982.
Roger owned and operated Midwest Casino Supply from 1995 until his passing. Roger prided himself on providing the very best customer service in the industry, even claiming to wake up at 3 AM to respond to emails.
In his free time, he enjoyed boating (mostly bragging about his ability to park a boat), listening to country music (had he paid for a streaming service, Kenny Chesney and Garth would be rich), fishing (specifically the deep sea variety since it required no skill and someone else did all the work), golfing (always blaming triple bogeys on his back), and spending time with his beloved dogs. Also, don’t forget his self proclaimed “First person in Dubuque to do a backflip on a pair of skis”. We have no evidence to back this up, other than his back problems.
Roger is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Jason (Jennifer) Cox of Dubuque, Brennen Cox of Des Moines, and Brianna Cox of Dubuque; grandchildren, Adelyn, Owen, and Emarie Cox; siblings, Judy (Jim) Arlen, and Denise Baker. Also surviving are his in-laws, Kent (Cheryl) Reichenberg; and brother-in-law, Shane (Lynn) Reichenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be given to Dubuque Regional Humane Society.
The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
