Rose Marie Heiring-Willey, 81, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on Monday morning, November 4, 2024, at UnityPoint Health, Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Rose Marie Willey was born on June 11, 1943 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to John Marvin and Frances Marie (Widel) Willey.  She was a 1961 graduate of Maquoketa High School.  She married Donald Michel in July of 1963.  Four children were born to this union, Macheal, John, Richard, and Daniel.  She later married Ralph Heiring in August of 2009 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Rose had worked various jobs throughout her life including working at John Deere in Dubuque, selling homes for Wick Homes, and waitressing at area restaurants.

Rose was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dubuque.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, crafts, and was known as an excellent cook.  She was an avid collector of strawberries.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Macheal Heidesch of Dubuque, IA, John (Denise) Michel of Bellevue, IA, and Richard Michel of Dubuque, IA; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack (Marilyn) Willey of Maquoketa, IA, and Becky Wiese of Maquoketa, IA; aunts and uncle, Janice Edwards of Camanche, IA, and Kenneth and Alice Widel of Maquoketa, IA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Donald and Ralph, son Daniel Michel, daughter-in-law Sandi Michel, and three brothers Timothy, Robert and Jerry Willey.

A memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook.  Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. on Saturday at the church.  The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
