Sharon was born May 14, 1950, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Robert and Anna Mae (Lorenz) Bradley. On September 5, 1970, she married Bruce Elliott in Dubuque.
She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and attended Pima Community College where she earned her Nursing Degree.
Sharon was a nurse her whole career. Prior to marriage, she worked at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. She later worked at numerous care facilities in Tucson and most recently volunteered for Hospice of Dubuque and Peppi’s Hospice House in Tucson, AZ.
Sharon was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Arizona Nurses Association. A natural caregiver, she showed compassion to everyone she encountered, whether tending to her patients or caring for her family, always ensuring their needs were met. She had a special passion for painting rocks with encouraging words, which she lovingly shared with hospice patients. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed caring for her flowers, shopping, and making several daily trips to the pool and spa. Above all, she cherished time with her family and made it a priority to attend their activities, whether in Iowa or Arizona.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce of Dubuque; her son, Steven (Melisa) Elliott of Tucson, AZ; her grandson, Ryan Elliott; three brothers, Don (Carol) Bradley of Cedar Falls, IA, Steve (Anita) Bradley of Cantrell, IL, Tom (Christy) Bradley of Lenexa, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Hospice of Dubuque and Stonehill Communities for their excellent care. Also to Pastor Jason and the whole Holy Trinity Lutheran church family, as well as, Sharon’s extended family for all of their continued support over the years.
