Stacey L. Schick, age 50, of Maquoketa, passed away at 2:56 p.m., on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at her home after a brave battle with cancer.  To honor Stacey’s life, private family services were held.  Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street is assisting Stacey’s family.

Stacey was born on May 31, 1973, in Iowa City to Richard C. “Rick” Leslein and Eleanor “Norann” Michaels.  She was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Richard A. “Dick” and Gertrude M. “Gert” Leslein.

Stacey graduated from Benton High School, Class of 1991.  After school she went to work as a CNA at Mt. Carmel.  Stacey met her future husband,William Schick in 1995, and they were married on May 14, 2011, in Maquoketa.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies, playing Bingo, fishing, softball, and relaxing with her husband.  Stacey will be greatly missed.

Stacey was preceded in death by her biological parents; her mother-in-law, Norma J. Schick; and her grandparents that she called mom and dad, Richard and Gertrude.
