Stanley G. Samuel, age 53, of St. Donatus, Iowa, passed away at 4:09 p.m., on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  To honor Stanley’s life, family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street.  There will be a service held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, at Behr Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Redmond officiating.  Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery at a later date.

Stanley was born on May 26, 1970, in Mumbai, India, the son of Samuel George and Chinamma Samuel. 

He graduated from Our Own English High School in Dubai and moved to the United States at age 18 where he attended Emmas Bible College in Dubuque.  While in school he met his future wife, Sheila Faust, and the couple married on December 19, 1992.  They started a beautiful family together before decided to part ways in 2017.  Stanley was an entrepreneur owning several businesses throughout the years.  He began working at 17th Street Pawn going on to own American Pawn where he learned about all kinds of items, with fine jewelry being his main interest.  Stanley loved music and opened Infinity Entertainment and Lighthouse Productions DJ services specializing in weddings and local events.  He was a natural musician and could learn how to play almost any instrument by ear.  His latest passion was photography and he owned ASH Photography.  Stanley truly enjoyed being behind the camera, but not in front of it.  He also enjoyed learning how things worked, and could often be found tinkering in his shop on different projects.  Stanley lived a very full life and enjoyed every moment to the fullest.  He will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish Stanley’s memory include: 6 children, Abigail (Aaron) Fauster, Dubuque, IA, Hannah (fiancé Patrick Vang) Niles, Milwaukee, WI, Isaiah (Elainee) Stanley, Dubuque, IA, Phillip Stanley, Dubuque, IA, Rachel (John Cannady) Stanley, Dubuque, IA and Silas Stanley, Dubuque, IA; 4 grandchildren, Lane, Claire, Abel and Dean Welsh; his mother, Chinamma Samuel; and 5 siblings, Elizabeth (Charly), Annie (Joe), George (Smitha), Justus (Smitha) and Benjamin (Sherry); and several nieces and nephews.

Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Samuel George.
