Stanley “Butch” Robey Jr., 75, of Dubuque, died on May 14, 2024 surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at the Egelhof, Siegert, & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road, Dubuque, where visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Stanley was born May 13, 1949 in Dubuque, Iowa to Stan and Bernice (Peterson) Robey. He was passionate about stock car racing, and he owned a stock car with his brother, Gene, for many years. He loved racing at area tracks.

If you were ever searching for him, he could always be found walking down the street to Steve’s Point garage to talk to his friends. He was an avid Hawkeye fan, and loved watching the Hawks play basketball and football.

He is survived by his sister, Beverly (Morry) Schwendinger; nieces Jennifer (Warren) Kizer and Stacy (Rob) Johannsen, Mackenzie Robey (Heath Egdorf) and Kristina Robey (Dylan Flanagan); a nephew, Jason Robey; great nieces Madison, Emma, and Isabella; and great nephews Nevyn and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene “Gene” and Dean, and his parents Stan and Bernice Robey.
