Tamela Felderman
Tamela “Tammy” Felderman, 64, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with COPD on May 15, 2025. To honor Tammy’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at The Eagles Club, 1175 Century Drive in Dubuque. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Tammy’s family.
She was born on September 18, 1960, in Dubuque, Iowa, to the late Mina (Parker) Slattery and Justin “Judd” Slattery.
Tammy graduated from Hempstead High School in 1979, she went on to work at Farmland and Quebecor and ended at Pickle Barrell Subs, only stepping away from work when her illness made it necessary.
Tammy was the life of the party—always quick with a joke, always ready with her signature “mom dance,” and always surrounded by laughter. She loved playing cards and darts, cheering from the sidelines at her kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events, and pressing her luck at the slots. Her energy and humor were contagious, and her presence lit up every room she entered.
Tammy’s true passion in life was her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Daniel Felderman of Dubuque; her children: Jeff (Dave Robertson) Hildreth of San Francisco, CA., Amy (Mitch Bradley) Felderman, Danielle (Chris) Powers, and Justin Felderman all of Dubuque. She was a proud GG to Olivia and Jayden Powers and Eleanor Bradley. Tammy also had a close relationship with her sister, Carol Lehnhardt, and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Louis “Sonny” Wilcox; her sister, Esther “Sissy” Schmitt; her brothers-in-law, Robert “Chuck” Lehnhard Sr. and Willard “Smitty” Schmitt; her nephew, Robert “Bob” Lehnhardt Jr.; and her great-niece, Brittany Gaylord.
Tammy will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love for her family, and her dedication to her work. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Diane, Stephanie and Melanie and the rest of the nurses at Hospice of Dubuque.
