Thomas A. “Tom” Denlinger, age 67, of Cuba City, WI, completed his earthly journey on April 11, 2025, at Stonehill Care Center while surrounded by his loving family.  To honor Tom’s life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Tom’s family.

Tom was born on July 9, 1957, in Dubuque, IA, a son to Virgil and Norma (Mulligan) Denlinger.  He was a truly honorable man who understood quite clearly the importance and value of family and did his best each day to remind all of them of this reality.  Tom invested his working career with the family business, Denlinger Insurance, and enjoyed every new client who came into his life while working alongside his family and friends. Tom possessed a strong work ethic and always gave 110% in all that he did.

For those who knew Tom well, it was always evident that his family was a top priority in his life also.  Many would refer to him as his sons’ greatest fan.  Tom never passed up an opportunity to spend some quality time in the blacksmith shop, or add a little hunting and fishing into his day, but truth be told, when it came to his family time, sports was where his heart really shined.  Tom was known for his charge whistle by most fans in the area as Trent and Theo rose through the ranks throughout their youth, but in time as he ventured out to cheer on Trent and his teammates at Badger football games, and eventually following his son Theo into playing with the White Sox and Red Sox, it almost appeared that his cheering grew even stronger and louder right along with the size of the crowds.  You could not find a more loyal supporter of his family and all of their adventures in life than Tom.  With the love of his life, Tina (Meyer), by his side, the boys were sure to have their own personal cheering section wherever life took them.

It’s difficult to imagine losing Tom so early in life and after his courageous battle with cancer over the last 5 years, we could see his weary battle worn spirit beginning to stumble.  He never gave up, never surrendered and fought with bravery until the very end, but we know that his greatest fear wasn’t actually passing, but rather having to leave us behind for now.  Our hearts break with a permanent scar that it seems will never mend as we face the days ahead, but we know and trust that Tom is finally at peace today and his legacy will thankfully live on without hesitation in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.  Thank you, Tom, for leading by example, teaching what should be taught, and never leaving your position at the helm of our family for even one second.  May the Lord hold you safe and securely in His loving arms until we meet again and may our pain find peace in time through the abundance of wonderful memories you’ve left behind.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
