Virginia Link, 98, passed away September 26, 2023 at Stonehill Care Center.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:45a.m., Friday, October 6, 2023 at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Steven Garner officiating. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens.

Virginia was born on August 5, 1925 to Patrick and Lucille (Ferris) Barry. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Harold Graham. She later married Roger Link on July 20, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubuque. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2016.

Virginia enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and volunteering at Stonehill. Virginia was a fabulous cook and was known for her famous pies. She will always be remembered by her quick wit and sense of humor. She was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

Virginia is survived by her children, Ann (Bob) Buol of Denton, TX, Jerry “Bear” Link of Dubuque IA; daughter-in-law, Judy Graham of Bellevue, IA; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Harold Graham; children, Rex Graham, Donna (Dennis) Clauer; siblings, Lyle Barry, Allen Barry, Jack Barry, Evelyn Strohmeyer, and Jim Barry.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque.

Virginia’s family wishes to extend a most heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Stonehill Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque for the compassionate care given to Virginia. Your kindness will never be forgotten. They also wish to extend a special thanks to the Lux Club crew for the wonderful 97th birthday celebration for Virginia.
