Wendy J. Greene, 69, of Galena, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 PM, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where family and friends may gather after 5 PM. Burial will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. Cremation rites have been accorded.

She was born August 2, 1952, in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Lloyd and Darlene (Haislet) Phillips. She was united in marriage to Terry G. Greene on December 15, 1973, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Galena and he preceded in death on March 10, 1997. Wendy worked for many years as a secretary for her dad at his auto body shop and continued after his retirement. She will always be remembered for her great attitude, quick wit, and sense of humor. Wendy loved watching NASCAR.

She is survived by her son, Billy Greene, her brother, Terry (Becky) Phillips, and her many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Becky Greene, her brother, David Phillips, and her longtime companion, John Anthony.
