Yvonne M. Klaas, 89, of Dubuque, IA, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at Luther Manor in Dubuque.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd. A prayer service will be held at 1:45 p.m. A private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Yvonne was born on October 1, 1936, in Maquoketa, IA, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Wilming) Goffinet. She married Herbert Klaas on September 7, 1956, he preceded her in death on July 5, 1992.

She always enjoyed the family gatherings throughout the years, traveling, dining out, and most of all listening to her Chicago Cubs games.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Carolyn Klaas of Dubuque, Susan (Robert) Biddle of East Dubuque, Deborah Ruden of Dubuque, and Paul Klaas of Tracy, CA; grandchildren: Chad ( Shannon Walsh) Kammerude, Justin (Trisha Reichenbach) Kammerude, Amanda Ruden and T.J. (Brandy) Ruden; eight great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; siblings: Doris (Joe) Hoffman, Bernita (Joe “Butch”) Maas, and Burt (Pam) Goffinet; sisters-in-law: Beverly Goffinet, Mary Klaas, and Ann Klaas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; her parents; sons-in-law: Timothy Ruden and Steve Kammerude; brothers: Milton Goffinet, Glen (Darlene) Goffinet, and Melvin (Joanie) Goffinet; siblings-in-law: Gloria Klaas and Virginia Nelson.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
