With profound sadness, we announce the death of Connie Beth Plowman, 72, a loving and devoted mother and friend to all the lives she touched, on March 25, 2026, in Dubuque IA.  Connie passed away peacefully at home with family by her side.

Connie was born on November 5, 1953, in Dubuque, IA, a daughter to Robert and Carol Nesteby.

She attended and graduated from Hempstead High School.  She was a member of the Colts Marching Band.

Connie worked in serving others throughout her life.  She truly enjoyed and found deep purpose in making a difference in other’s lives.  She touched many lives by her generosity and kindness. She loved animals, shopping, playing billiards and spending time with her children.  Connie’s greatest gift was being a loving mother to her 3 children.

Connie is survived by her mother and best friend, Carol Nesteby of Dubuque, IA and her
children, Amy Bleile of Whitewater, WI, Tammy Bleile of Dallas, Texas, Chad Bleile of Dubuque, IA and 1 granddaughter.

Preceded in death by her father, Robert Nesteby and sister, Debbie Peterson.

Connie will be remembered as a fighter until her last day with us.  As one to overcome struggle and obstacle no matter what and as a loving mother always.

The family would like to thank Hospice Dubuque for their kindness and generous care.

In accordance with Connie’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family.
