David W. Greenwood, 59, of rural Farley, Iowa passed away on April 17, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital from injuries sustained in a farm accident.

Visitation for David will be held from 4 to 7pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa.

Private services for David will be held at the Funeral Home.

He was born November 3, 1966, in Monticello, Iowa, son of Eldon and Linda (Moriarity) Greenwood.  He is a 1985 graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, Iowa.  He was a truck driver and enjoyed spending time with his furry friends, Bear and Little one.

He enjoyed stopping by and visiting with people.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Greenwood of Farley; his siblings, Joseph (Lisa) Greenwood of Chicago, IL, John and Dawne Greenwood of Dubuque, IA, Laura (Tim) Derga of Farley, IA, Brian (Deb) Greenwood of Epworth, IA, Janet (John) Derga of Dyersville, IA; 11 nieces and nephews; and 11 great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Eldon Greenwood on May 20, 2015; a sister, Cindy on March 31, 2015 and a brother, Paul on November 25, 2023.

A David W. Greenwood memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the burn unit staff at the University of Iowa Hospital for all the care and compassion they gave David.
