Doris M. Pins, 84, of Dyersville, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at MercyOne in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Fr. Herbert Pins will officiate, and Deacon Fred Pins will be the homilist.

Doris was born October 16, 1939, daughter of Leonard and Margaret Kramer and grew up in Farley, Iowa. She married Cy Pins on November 16, 1968. After more than 30 years working at KDTH radio station, she finished up her career at Beckman Catholic High School. Her most fulfilling accomplishment was being a Grandma. Doris was a dedicated cheerleader for her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

Survivors include her children: Jody (Paul) Heid, Bridget (Michael) Williams, Nicholas (Christina) Pins; grandchildren: Jacob and Olivia Heid, Margaret and Patrick Williams, Aviana and Nico Pins; siblings: Merlin (Lois) Kramer, Sister Margaret Anne Kramer, Marilyn (David) Kluesner; in-laws: Marlene Kramer and Eldora Pins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Margaret Kramer, her husband, Cy; siblings: Ruth (Dallas) Dolphin, Lloyd Kramer; in-laws: Vincent (Clara), Jerome (Ethel), Albert (Esther), James (Eileen), Anthony (Lois), Paul (Lois), Mark (Lorraine), Louis, George (Shirley), Sister Mary Ernest, OSF, Mary (Vince) Goedken, Clara Pins, Therese Pins.

Doris was an avid bowler and charter member of the Beckman Catholic High School Booster Club. The family would like to thank Dr. Andrea Ries and the staff at MercyOne Hospital of Dubuque for their compassionate care.
