Hailee M. Friedman
Hailee Mae Friedman, 14, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
To celebrate Hailee’s life, family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A prayer service will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Hailee was born on June 16, 2011, in Dubuque, Iowa. She is the daughter of Jim “Jr.” and Danielle (Stocks) Friedman and the sister of Bexlee Friedman.
Hailee was an 8th-grade student at Roosevelt Middle School in Dubuque. She was known for her caring nature and the friendships she cherished deeply. She would light up any room she entered with her infectious smile. Hailee had strength, resilience, and a bright spirit that inspired everyone who met her. She had a sharp sense of humor and loved her family unconditionally. Hailee loved being outside, jumping on the trampoline, playing at parks, drawing with chalk, and riding her bike. She enjoyed going camping, boating, fishing, going for golf cart rides, and making TikTok videos. Hailee was very artistic and loved everything about art and crafts. She would make family and friends different types of paintings, drawings, and jewelry. When she grew up, she wanted to be an art teacher.
Those left to cherish Hailee’s memory include her parents Jim “Jr.” Friedman and Danielle Friedman; her sister, Bexlee Friedman; grandparents, Donna (Tim) Norton, Kevin (Susie) Stocks, Jayne (Don) Rausch, and James (Donna) Friedman; aunts and uncles, Amanda (Austin) Dickau, Cody Stocks, Tyler (Lillie Merfeld) Stocks, Liz (Jake) Clark, Michael Rausch, Melesia (Mike) Brosnahan, Tyler (Ann) Monthey, and John (Melida) Monthey; great-grandmother, Margaret Stocks; and many cousins and great-aunts and uncles.
Hailee is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Don and Mary “Babe” Ryan, Warren Stocks, Elmer and Jean Frederick, Jack and Anna Mae Chapman, Urban and Margaret Rausch, Robert and Leona Friedman, and Eldon and Hazel Weese; great-uncles, Pat Hannan, John Friedman, and Mike Friedman; great-aunts, Betty Donaldson and Margie Friedman; and cousin Carrie Chapman.
