Jeff A. Tracy, 42, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away Sunday morning, August 9, 2026.

Jeffrey A. Tracy was born December 23, 1983, in Maquoketa, to Ronald and Karen (Kruse) Tracy.  He attended school in Maquoketa before attending Scott Community College for HVAC training.  Jeff married Felicia Winslow on July 7, 2018, in Jackson County.

Jeff worked for Bettendorf Heating and Air for many years and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union in the Quad Cities.  Jeff loved the outdoors, though rainy days at home were his favorite.  He enjoyed going to the Ike’s Club outside of Maquoketa and target practicing with his guns.  Jeff was a kind, outgoing free spirit.  He would give a stranger the shirt off his back.  But most importantly, Jeff cherished the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his sons.

Jeff is survived by his wife Felicia Tracy of Maquoketa; his sons Michael Fielhauer Tracy and Alexander Tracy; his father Ronald Tracy of Baldwin, IA; his sister Jessica Bingham of Rock Island, IL;  his maternal grandmother Jeannette Kruse of Maquoketa; and two nephews, Joshua Bingham and Jaiden Folks.  He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Kruse and his brother Jeremy Tracy.

A private graveside service and burial will be held in Godard Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.  There is no public visitation.  The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
