Judith K. “Judy” Glab, age 79, of Dubuque passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Ennoble Manor.  To celebrate Judy’s life, family and friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Nativity Catholic Church, 1225 Alta Vista Street, Dubuque, Iowa.  Funeral services will be held immediately following at 11:00 a.m at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Behr Funeral Home is assisting Judy’s family.

Judy was born on December 13, 1946, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Buron and Inez (Hendricks) Glab.

Judy graduated from Dubuque Senior High School, Class of 1965, and went to work as a nurses aide at Mercy Hospital for 45 years until her retirement.  She was a long time member of Nativity Church.  Judy never got her driver’s license or drove her entire life, something that is unheard of these days.  She had many interests including the reading, playing Bingo and cards, Poker was her game of choice.  Judy also had a great love for Elvis, both his music and his movies, and enjoyed them when she could.  She was often referred to as the “Purple Lady” because of her choice of clothing.  Judy loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her Godchildren, nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Shirley Jones and Sandra “Sandy” Steadman; a brother, Bob “Bobby” Glab in infancy; and a brother-in-law, Roger Hokenstad.

Judy’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staffs of MercyOne Mercy Hospital and Ennoble Manor for their great care for Judy.
