Julita M. Kinley

Julita Marie (Koch) Kinley, 52, of Dubuque passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 surrounded by her family. To honor Julita’s requests a private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Julita was born on June 15, 1965 in Dubuque to Joseph and Janet (Birch) Koch. She married John Kinley May 14, 2004.

Julita was a master of many talents. Cooking was one of her greatest passions. She had many interests and hobbies which included, using her artistic abilities, spending time with her family, and riding the motorcycle with her husband.

Julita was a guiding light for people in their struggles. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She used the wisdom that she learned to create a beautiful life that she was proud of.

Becoming a grandma changed her life in an unparalleled way. From the moment each child was born, they knew that their MoMo loved them unconditionally.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband and soulmate, John, their Chihuahua Izack; her children, Andrew (Sara) Hanselman, Marianna (Joshua) Smith, and Ivy (Justin) Tott; her grandchildren and the lights of her life Alex, Matthew, Alice, Adele, Charlee, and Iris; her siblings, Pete, Paul (Sandy) Koch, Anna (Ted) Gulhaugen, Mary Jaeger, John Koch, Jim (Sharon) Koch, Matt (Diana) Koch, Mike (Peg) Koch , Rose (Zeke) Zimmerman and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Janet (Birch) Koch; brother, Andrew Koch; sister-in-law, Sonja Koch.

A Julita Kinley Memorial Fund has been established.
