Richard Daughetee
Richard Daughetee, 70, of Dubuque, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at home.
There will be no services. Arrangements were entrusted to Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Dick was born November 16, 1947 in Dubuque, the son of Andrew and Roselen (Sparks) Daughetee. He married Linda Eastman on July 27, 1968 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2007.
Dick was employed as a medical records driver for Medical Associates. After his retirement, he worked as manager and groundskeeper of Ferring Mobile Home Park for nine years. Dick was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing and camping at Backbone State Park. He enjoyed sitting outside and socializing with the neighbors at the trailer court. Dick was a loving husband, and a devoted father and grandfather who would do anything for his family. “Thanks for the last jab, Dad”.
Dick is survived by two sons, Mike (Mary) Daughetee of Dubuque and Mark Daughetee of Cuba City, WI; his daughter, Kim Dunivan of Dubuque; six grandchildren, Ethan Daughetee, Dusty Sharkey, Amelia, Chloe, and Olivia Dunivan, and Jakaya Quire; two great grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Lynn) Daughetee of GA; and his in-laws, Howard Eastman Jr., Jim (Mary) Eastman, and Ellen Eastman-Shipe, all of MD.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Jr. in 1972; his parents; his sister, Fern (Ed) Breitspecker; and two sisters-in-law, Shelley Kress and Judy Eastman.
Memorials may be made to the Richard Daughetee Memorial Fund.
