Lisa M. Clark
Lisa M. Clark, 58, a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, at her home in Otter Creek, Iowa.
Lisa Marie Hickson was born on August 1, 1966 in Jackson County, Iowa, to James and Joan Marie (Hutchcroft) Hickson. She grew up in a loving family and graduated from Maquoketa Community High School and furthered her education at Scott Community College. Her academic achievements were just the beginning of a life full of dedication and service. On January 25, 1992, she married the love of her life, Steven Clark, in a beautiful ceremony in Iowa. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Professionally, Lisa was known for her compassion and commitment. She began her career as a Case Manager for JTPA in Scott County, Davenport, Iowa, and later served in the same capacity in Grant County, Wisconsin. Lisa found her calling at the Family Dollar Distribution Center in Maquoketa, where she dedicated over 22 years as the WMS Coordinator.
Lisa’s passion for life extended beyond her professional endeavors. She was an avid sports enthusiast, cheering on her favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears, with fervor and excitement. Her love for cooking and baking was surpassed only by the love she had for her family. Lisa’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Aria and Everly Dalton.
Those left to honor Lisa’s memory include her devoted husband, Steven Clark of Otter Creek, IA; her children, Benjamin (Kristin) Clark of Hazel Green, WI, and Sara (Jared) Dalton of Otter Creek, IA; her adoring grandchildren, Aria and Everly Dalton; her sisters, Mary Lou (Greg) Rorah of Bellevue, IA, Linda Mask of Otter Creek, IA, and Carol (Doug) Boyler of Bettendorf, IA; and her brother, Chris (Heather) Hickson of Zwingle, IA. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Hickson.
A public graveside service and burial celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Otter Creek, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
