Lois A. Becker
Lois A. Becker, age 77, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on September 19, 2024, at home, while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Lois’ life, a private family Celebration of Life is being held. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Lois’ family.
Lois was born on July 30, 1947, in Dubuque, IA, a daughter to Lester and Marian (Bloush) Miller. Being blessed to meet the love of her life at an early age, Lois enjoyed a wonderful life and spent her 77 years among us being surrounded by those she truly loved. She spent her working career as an industrial registered nurse, investing her time and talents with both the Dubuque Pack and Flexsteel Industries. But, those who knew Lois best understood clearly that her heart really resided at home where her family was waiting patiently for her to return. In her free-time, Lois always enjoyed the challenge of her latest jigsaw puzzle, but also found time to perfect her crocheting skills when time allowed and never passed up an opportunity to venture out for a little thrifting whenever possible.
Known for her strength and resilience, Lois was a tough lady with a heart of gold, who inspired all who knew her. Lois was truly a wonderful grandma, taking her grandchildren on memorable family vacations, showering them with thoughtful presents for Christmas and birthdays, and ensuring they had everything they needed to feel loved and cherished. Lois guided those around her with her wisdom and insight instilling important values and encouraging those around her to strive for their best. Lois taught her family resilience and the importance of standing up for what is right. Whether she was offering advice, sharing a laugh, or providing a shoulder to lean on, she did so with an authenticity that drew people to her.
Lois possessed a deeply kind and loving soul throughout her life and the legacy and impact she has left on those around her will surely be felt and embraced for generations to come. Thank you, Lois, for simply being yourself within each day that presented itself and may you now feel the grace-filled arms of our Lord and Savior embracing you securely while we all wait to see your beautiful smile once again.
