Lois Mary Link, 90, of Dubuque, Iowa, went into the arms of the Lord on July 29, 2026, at Stonehill Care Center.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Lois was born on September 30, 1935, in Sherrill, Iowa, to James and Helen (Engler) Van Blarcom. Lois was raised on a farm in rural Sherrill and graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Dubuque in 1954. After high school, she worked at Meyers Cox in Dubuque. She met the love of her life, Delbert Link, at the Melody Mill, and they were married at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Sherrill on November 10, 1956. She and Del moved to Imperial Beach, California, where Del was stationed in the Navy. Lois worked as the first secretary to the City Manager of Imperial Beach. Upon Del’s honorable discharge, they returned to the Dubuque area, where Lois worked at John Deere. She later became a stay-at-home mom to their three sons: Terry, Tim, and Todd. Once they were in school, she returned to work at St. Columbkille School, later at Sacred Heart School, and eventually retired from Keystone AEA in 2000.

Mom loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and never missed an athletic event they played in. She taught the grandkids countless card games, which they fondly enjoyed during visits with Grandma.

She was a member of St. Columbkille Church, Power of Prayer, Dubuque County and National Right to Life, the Infant of Prague Catholic Mother’s Club, and was a founding member of the Lois Club of Dubuque. She enjoyed camping, bicycling, and playing euchre and 500. She had a passion for music–Irish in particular–and loved attending Daniel O’Donnell’s live shows, meeting him in reception lines afterward. Mom and Dad cherished many winters spent in Mesa, Arizona.

Lois is survived by her three sons: Terry (Sue) Link, Tim (Kris) Link, and Todd (Jill) Link; grandchildren Kami (Adam Steinbach) Gonzalez, Kayla (Ken) Bortscheller, Evan Link, Denver (Alaina) Link, Connor Link, and Collin (Emma Blackburn) Link; great-grandchildren, Izan and Lian Gonzalez, and Lochlan Link; one brother, Earl Van Blarcom; and in-laws, Don Link, Red (Karen) Link, Elaine (Adrian) Korbel, and Doris (Paul) Schreiber.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Del, in 2021; her grandson, Travis Link; her sister Phyllis; brothers, Jerry and Jim Van Blarcom; and in-laws, Bob and Delores Link, Kay Link, Barb and Judy Van Blarcom.

Mom was an amazing mother, friend, Christian role model and prayer warrior for many. Her positive attitude and selfless spirit never wavered, even during her final weeks in Hospice. Her zest for life and uplifting presence brightened days and allowed those around her to witness true Grace in action. We will deeply miss her smile, hugs, and gentle words of encouragement. Mom truly loved connecting with people and they to her.
