Marguerite Wichmann, 83, of Dubuque passed away Friday July 13, 2018 at home.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 19th at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Road, where there will be a wake service at 6:30 p.m.

Marguerite was born November 12, 1934 in Victor, Iowa, daughter of Clarence and Mary Louise (Keenan) Dusterhoft. She married Charles ‘Chuck’ J. Wichmann in 1954 and they celebrated 63 beautiful years of marriage. Chuck preceded her in death on April 5, 2018.

Marguerite sold Avon Products for 50 years until her retirement; she also worked as a precinct election official for Dubuque County for 30 years. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop for a couple years.

Marguerite loved her family and enjoyed her home and especially liked to play with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Anthony parish.

Surviving are her children Judy (Rick) David, Kathy Meyer, John (Sue) Wichmann and Dennis (Colleen) Wichmann; 6 grandchildren, Chris David, Melissa (Tracey) Johnson, Derek (Cheri) Wichmann, Stephanie Wichmann, Crystal Chew, and Kaysha (Tyler) Schmitt; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Aliene (Dick) Sadler and brothers and sister-in-law, Bob and Larry (Kay Beth) Wichmann.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Chad Meyer and brothers George and Paul Dusterhoft.
