Marian J. Reittinger, 95, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on April 1, 2026, at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. Prayers and a time of sharing will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Marian was born on December 14, 1930, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Eldine L. and Helen M. (McGinnis) Meyer. She married Robert Reittinger on January 29, 1949. Marian dedicated 38 years of her career as a supervisor at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque, where she held a special place in her heart for the children she served.

She enjoyed playing bingo, working on puzzles, and watching her favorite soap operas. In their younger years, Marian and Robert also loved country line dancing together. They especially cherished their Saturday night tradition of going supper clubbing at their all-time favorite restaurant, Sweeney’s Supper Club. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Sassy.

Marian is survived by her children, Carol Lewis, Marilyn (Nicholas) Reiter, and Becky (Craig) Jones; grandchildren, Robert Lewis, Angie (Doug) White, Connie (Donald) Reiter, Vickie (Jason) Pfab, Cindie Reiter, Krisie Reiter, Schawn (Mike) Oberfoell, Tracy (Tom) Tschudi, R.J. Reittinger, Mark (Kendra) Reittinger, Paula (Fred) McGovern, Jennifer (Will) Hutchins, Chad Jones, and Michelle Jones; great-grandchildren, Adrian & Shane White, Andrea (John), Nicholas, Natalie (Tristan), & Emilie Reiter, Brandon (Jasmine) & Dylan Pfab, Lilie Patrum, Sydney & Austin Oberfoell , Miguel (April), Adriana, & Celena Ortiz, Derrick & Dalton Merkes (Reittinger), Breelynn Reittinger, Skyller Klinkhammer, Sylvia Reittinger, Damien (Mary) McGovern, Maddelynne (Nicholas) McGovern, Kayla & Christopher McGovern, Dallas & Sara McGovern, Elizabeth (Kurt) Cardey, Logan Hutchins, and Alan, Alek, & Taylor Jones; great great-grandchildren, Corey, Remi, & Millie Reiter, Paisley & Emberly Ortiz, Evelyn & Colton Oberbroeckling, Lyla Cardey, and George McGovern; sisters-in-law Mona Morton, Carol Meyer, and Rosie Meyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; son, Ronald Reittinger; son-in-law Gary Lewis; grandchildren, Mary and Joseph Lewis, in infancy; great granddaughter, Hayley Pfab, in infancy; brothers, Clete Meyer and Robert Meyer; a sister-in-law and several brothers-in-law; and her aunts and uncles.
