Mary Ann Heinrichs

Mary Ann Heinrichs, 91, of Dyersville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at MercyOne Senior Care.

Visitation will be held 9 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa with burial at the church cemetery. Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate.

Mary Ann was born on July 8, 1935, in New Vienna, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Alvina (Bries) Meyer. She married Robert T. Heinrichs on May 26, 1956, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna, Iowa.

Mary Ann attended technical beauty school and began her career as a beautician, a profession that reflected her warm personality and caring nature. She later worked at Ertl Toy Company and also devoted many years to caring for children through babysitting, touching countless lives with her kindness and gentle spirit.

Above all, Mary Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother, and loyal friend who welcomed everyone with compassion and a caring heart. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life and carried her through both life’s joys and its greatest sorrows. Even after enduring the heartbreaking loss of her beloved husband, Bob, and four of her children, Mary Ann remained steadfast in her faith, finding strength, hope, and grace in the Lord.

Survivors include her son, David (Patricia) Heinrichs of Columbia, Maryland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy Meyer; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; parents, Leo and Alvina Meyer; children: Jeff Heinrichs, Debbie Crimmins, Jerry Heinrichs, William Heinrichs; siblings: Darlene O’ Connor, Merlin Meyer, Leo (Virginia) Meyer and Alvin (Dorothy) Meyer; in-laws: Vince (Denise) Heinrichs and Don Heinrichs.
