Sheila C. Shireman, 69, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital with her family by her side.

According to Sheila’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Sheila was born on December 4, 1956, in Dubuque, the daughter of Albert T. Frost and Bernice (Speak) Frost. She was united in marriage to Jerry Shireman. While she worked at many places, she most recently worked at Five Flags and the Q Casino.

Sheila enjoyed going to the casino and playing cards with her girls on Friday nights. She had a great love for animals, especially cats and dogs. Her daughter, Carmen, was her best friend. Sheila loved music, dancing and partying.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; her daughter, Carmen (Mike) Chalk; her sister, Mary Frost of Dubuque; along with cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Albert T. and Bernice Frost; brothers and sisters; and grandparents.
