Michael “Mike” D. Donahue, 61, of Durango, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2026.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road. A time of sharing will be held at noon.

Mike was born on February 20, 1965, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Michael Donahue and Mary Jo Erickson. He worked at Medical Associates in maintenance for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether camping and fishing with his dogs or riding his Harley. Mike was a talented handyman who could fix just about anything and was often found working on his home or one of the many projects he had going. He also enjoyed getting his hands dirty in the garden. A true people person, Mike loved spending time with his friends and family. Most importantly, he cherished being a dad to his daughter, Hannah, who was the greatest joy of his life.

Mike is survived by his daughter Hannah (Cristhian) Donahue; his dad, Michael “Mike” Donahue; his sisters, Sharon Ameskamp, Ann “Shellie” Hall, Stephanie (Guy) Cheevers, and Tia (Ed) Newton; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Mary Jo Erickson; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Ameskamp.
