Randall “Randy” J. Purcell, 63, of Dubuque, died Friday, December 17, 2021, at his home.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

Randy was born July 14, 1958, in Dubuque, the son of John C. and Joan C. (Hanover) Purcell.

He graduated from Wahlert High School in 1976.

Randy worked in the shipping department for Kendall-Hunt Publishing until his retirement.

He was of Catholic faith.

Randy enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, volunteering for the Dubuque Boys and Girls Club and participating in the breakfasts for the Son’s of American Legion.  He was a past board member for the Dubuque Boys and Girls Club and a member of the Dubuque Men’s Association.

Survivors include four brothers, Kevin (Sue) Purcell of Dubuque, Terry (Patty) Purcell of Ballard, TX, Danny (Laura) Purcell of Omaha, NE and Greg (Christina) Purcell of Elmhust, IL; one sister, Karen (Eugene) Wild of West Des Moines and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
