Rene K. Atkins, 64, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on June 29, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center in Dubuque.

Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road.

Rene was born on March 16, 1961, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Robert William Reed and Jacqueline Ann Johnson. She received her LPN for nursing. On August 11, 2007, she was united in marriage to her husband, Keith Marcel Atkins, in Dubuque, Iowa. Rene enjoyed camping, fishing, watching “The Young and the Restless”, “The Price is Right”, and “Bar Rescue.”

Rene is survived by her husband, Keith; daughters, Kimberly Rene (John Fear) Stonehocker, and Kelly Ann (Drew) Pins; sons, Jeffrey Alan Stonehocker, and Bryan Walter Lee (Ashley) Meister; grandchildren Alex Weidenbacher, Logan Weidenbacher, Cody Kieffer, Cameron Stonehocker, Liam Pins, and Lucille Pins; sister Connie (Jim) Mahony; brother Robert Reed; and nieces Tanya Reed, and Julie Fogue.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert, mother Jacqueline, step-father Denny Patterson, and brother Gary Lee Reed.
