Richard W. Feldman, 64, of Dubuque, died Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Stonehill Health Center in Dubuque.

Richard was born on November 20, 1961, Dubuque, Iowa, to William R. Feldman and Mary Kathleen Curoe.  He graduated from Wahlert High School, University of Iowa  Emergency Medical Services Learning Resource Center, and received a Masters in Health Administration from Winona State University.

Richard wanted to be a paramedic from an early age, and he did so with distinction in Rochester, MN, Sheboygan, WI, and Dubuque.  One career highlight was co-authoring a study that was published in the Journal of Emergency Medical Services.  Parkinson’s ultimately ended his career.  While Parkinson’s took so much from Rich, his sense of humor was intact until the end.

Rich was involved in the early years of the Dubuque Steamers Soccer Club and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and, for some reason, the Minnesota Vikings.

Richard is survived by his son, Jack (Randi) and daughter, Lydia Knuths (Kristian), brother Thomas (Danette), sisters Patricia Matson (Mike) and Jolene Berns (Dwight).

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, William and Kathleen, and a brother in infancy.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, Dubuque, Iowa 52001.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research.
