Roger Allen Daniels, 72, of Bellevue, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2024.  Memorial Service will be 3:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue.  Family will greet friends and family 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Reeseville Cemetery, rural Miles.  Luncheon will follow Graveside Services at Green Island Congregational Church.

Roger was born June 5, 1952 in Bellevue, the son of Milton and Marion (Yoerger) Daniels.  He graduated from Sabula High School in 1972.  Roger worked for the railroad with his father for a short time then at Clinton Engines and Steelmart in Dubuque.  He also mowed yards and delivered newspapers in Bellevue for many years.  Roger was a collector, enjoyed wood working, trains, and cheering on the Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes.  He never met a stranger and always had a story to share.

Survivors include his sister, Darla Smith; nephews, Chad (Noelle) Devereaux and Travis (Nicki) Smith; great nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Justin, Kory, Emery, and Levi.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother in-law, Gary Smith.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roger’s memory.
