Ronald G. Wintermote, 60, of Dubuque passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Unity Point Health-Finley Hospital Dubuque.

Visitation will be 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home 3860 Asbury Rd.

Ron was born December 12, 1957 in Dubuque the son of Richard and Barbara (Lynch) Wintermote. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School. Ron married the love of his life Theresa White on March 24, 1979.

He most recently worked for Stetson Building Products.

Ron loved spending time with his grandchildren and making them breakfast. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and always enjoyed having family and friends over to enjoy the games. Ron and Tess played on many co-ed softball and volleyball teams overs the years. He enjoyed all sports and participating. Ron always had a smile and hug for everyone. Ron was a very giving man and was always eager to help others. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Tess; their children, Alexx (BJ Maloney) Wintermote and Cody (Ellie Freiburger) Wintermote; 3 grandchildren, Lucy, Theo, and Violet; siblings, Pamela Mickelson, Marsha (Dickie) Chapman, and Sandy (Jim) Griebel; father and mother in-law, John (Sue) White; and numerous other relatives.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother-in-law, Marlene White.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ron’s memory.
