Sally Ann Bolton

Sally Ann Bolton, (nee Quillin), age 72, of East Dubuque, IL, died after a courageous battle with Cancer, at Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Sally was born on June 7, 1954, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Robert J. and Mary Jo (O’Brien) Quillin. She was formerly employed at Thermo-Fisher in Dubuque, IA.

She is survived by three sisters, Janet (Dave) Blythe, Mary (Cecil) Lumley, and Lori (Serge) Bourdon; cherished aunt to: Jennifer, Kelly, Jonathan, Michael and Christian; great aunt to: Lucy, Riley, Brady, Jack, Macy, Tyler, Tony and Charley; a special son, John (Gail) Strommer and granddaughter, Brooklyn.

Sally was a Spicy Red Head that loved her family, friends, sports, especially the Chicago White Sox, and birds.

Throughout her life she faced many challengers and tackled them “her way”. She was a dedicated worker of many careers.

Family and friends may visit after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, where there will be a brief prayer service at 11:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will follow at R. Place in East Dubuque, IL.
