Shawna Rosenthal
Shawna Rosenthal, age 72, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of New Mexico and California, completed her earthly journey on November 5, 2026, at home while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Shawna’s life, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Shawna’s family.
Shawna was born on October 15, 1954, in Massachusetts, a daughter to Jack and Cele-An (McManis) Campbell. She realized early in life that this world offers challenges to each and everyone of us along our walks through it and if we are to truly leave our mark in any substantial ways, it is going to require our eager and unwavering participation in the lives of others. Shawna went on to earn her Bachelors degree before devoting herself to all those who would eventually find their way into her most capable hands. She was a program director for the Amity Foundation for the majority of her working career. Both in California and New Mexico as her ministry closed and opened new doors throughout her tenure. Shawna’s heart was built to love and her daily mission was to bring the pain and misfortune in the lives of those around her into a place and plan with purpose for growth and regeneration. Her love and devotion were endless and the word “quit” was simply never present in her vocabulary. To attempt to count the number of folks whose lives were changed as a direct result of Shawna’s efforts and positive impact would be impossible to achieve. Many claim to have left this earth in better shape than when they arrived; with Shawna it’s an absolute fact and the testimonies of so many out there are a living witness to her story. Thank you, Shawna, for giving more of yourself than you ever took and for standing in the gap when many times that was all someone needed to take the next step forward. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe in His loving arms until we all meet again.
