Terry L. Nelson, 73, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at his home.

Terry Lee Nelson was born on July 9, 1953, in Moline, Illinois, to John and Donna (Stoehr) Nelson.  He graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois, with the class of 1972.  Terry worked for many years as a truck driver.

Terry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, especially deer, and fish.  He always ate what he caught, never wasting an opportunity to share with friends and family.

Terry is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughters Jennifer (Todd) Engholm of Parkersburg, IA, Stephanie (Randall) Banowetz of Bettendorf, IA, and Michelle (Joshua) Jones of Reynolds, IL; his sister – in – law Jody Nelson of Indiana; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and Gary Nelson.

At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.
