David Gordon
David Gordon (age 37) of Forest Park, Illinois, was born on March 27, 1984, in Mexico City, Mexico, and passed away peacefully in Elizabeth, Illinois, surrounded by his beloved wife, Caitlin Clarke Gordon, daughters, Thalia Imari Gordon (age 18), Arianna Viviana Gordon (age 18), and Amaya Mhairi Gordon (age 3), sons, Damian Anthony Gordon (age 14) and Dante Marion Gordon (age 13), and extended family.
David is also survived by his parents, David Anthony Gordon and Maria Isabella Gordon Hernandez of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, his sister, Angelica Gordon of Westmont, Illinois, his nieces, Kimberly and Genesis, and his family by marriage, Celeste Casey Clarke, Drew (Sannie) Sikula, Ana (Glenn Domingo) Sikula, Whitney (Jonathon) Grabowski and seven more nieces and nephews.
David was a joyful, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone, including his devoted medical staff at Loyola University Medical Center. For a year and a half of the COVID-19 pandemic, David chose to live in the family home outside of Elizabeth, courageously and actively fighting stage 4 colon cancer.
David loved spending time with his whole family. He was often found outside with his children playing football, basketball, paint-balling, and skydiving with his wife, rooting for the New England Patriots, doing home projects, grilling, and regularly pranking his family. Everyone around David knew they were important to him and felt his full attention.
A celebration of life will be held in a couple of weeks in Chicagoland. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family’s Go Fund Me page at:
