Nancy L. Estling of Asbury ascended peacefully with her family at her bedside on Sunday, September 3, 2023, she was 84.

Nancy was born July 27, 1939 in Oelwein, IA, daughter of Herman and Juanita (Nieman) Rose.  She graduated from Strawberry Point High School and moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to work at United Casualty and Life insurance agency with her sister Shirley. This is where James and Nancy met. They were married on April 17, 1966,  in Lamont, Iowa. The couple moved to Dubuque ,Iowa in 1967

Nancy worked at Hatches’ gift shop at the Kennedy Mall for many years. She enjoyed golf, gambling, traveling to spend time with her daughters in Maui, sunbathing and walking on the beach in Naples, Florida while talking with friends. The highlight of her life was watching her only Grandson- Conner, grow up and graduate from high school. Nancy was a beautiful “Rose” filled with kindness and love. She will be dearly missed but we will always have her in our heart.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Estling of Asbury, IA; three children, Timothy Estling of Dubuque, Michelle Estling of Maui, Hawaii, Denise of Sedona, AZ, a grandson, Conner of Scottsdale, AZ.  and a sister, Marjorie (Kenneth) Bowers of Strawberry Point.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 am, on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road followed by a memorial service at noon.
